Malicious Website Reporting, Done Right

One neutral workflow for phishing, malware, fake shops, doxxing and abuse: filed with the right authorities and escalated to the hosting provider until the site is removed.

    The 4-Step Reporting Workflow

    Step 1

    Classify the abuse

Decide what the site actually does: phishing, malware distribution, fake shop, doxxing, illegal content. The category determines which authorities receive the report and how quickly the host acts.

    Step 2

    Preserve the evidence

Copy the full URL, capture a screenshot and, when possible, archive the HTML. The Blackwall Evidence Vault produces a SHA-256 sealed snapshot so the report survives even after the page disappears.

    Step 3

    File with the right authorities

Notify Safe Browsing / APWG / URLhaus depending on the category, and open a takedown case with Blackwall so the hosting provider and registrar are contacted in parallel.

    Step 4

    Track until removal

The case stays open until the URL returns 404. Blackwall escalates to the upstream ASN and CERT after 24 hours of inaction and publishes the neutralised report on the public wall.

Where to Report a Malicious Website

A single site often needs to be reported in more than one place. File in parallel for the fastest response.

    BlackwallInfrastructure
