Report spam: Signal Spam + target page takedown

Signal Spam aggregates reports to block campaigns, but if the spam points to a fraudulent site, only the host can remove it. Blackwall sends the abuse report in parallel so the target page disappears: not just gets flagged.

    Report spam in 6 steps

    Step 1

    Don't reply, don't unsubscribe

An 'unsubscribe' link in a fraudulent spam message confirms your address and triggers more waves of spam. Don't click any links before analyzing the message.

    Step 2

Save the email with full headers

Export the original message as .eml with headers intact (Received, DKIM, SPF, DMARC). Without these headers, Signal Spam can't identify the real sender or trace the infrastructure.

    Step 3

    Forward it to Signal Spam

signal-spam.fr: install the browser extension or the Thunderbird/Outlook add-on. One click forwards the full email with headers to French authorities and partner ISPs.

    Step 4

Report text spam to your carrier

Forward unwanted texts and smishing attempts to your mobile carrier's spam-reporting number. Carriers can then block the sending number at the network level.

    Step 5

Report the target page through Blackwall

If the spam links to a website (phishing, scam, fake store), Blackwall identifies the host, sends the abuse report, and escalates until the page is actually taken down.

    Step 6

Set up filters and mark it as spam

Mark the message as 'Spam' or 'Junk' in Gmail, Outlook, and Apple Mail: this trains spam filters and reduces the sender's future reach.

The right channels to report spam

Anti-spam reporting, mobile carriers, and host takedown act at different levels. Combining them maximizes reach.
